Heyo! This is my third time doing Yuletide and my first time just giving up and mostly giving theatre prompts lmao. I go by flibbertygigget on AO3 as well. Treats are welcome (I'm personally going to try to do one myself).

General Wants/DNWs

Likes: angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort, strong friendships, canon divergence AUs, missing moments, canon continuation

DNW: explicit rape/noncon/dubcon (allusions are fine), too much focus on romance (I prefer platonic relationships), major AUs (think Coffee Shop or College AUs)

Fandom-Specific Requests/Prompts

Merrily We Roll Along (Sondheim/Furth)

The Fandom: Three friends - Frank, Charley, and Mary - try to make it in their respective creative pursuits while dealing with their friendship slowly falling apart from 1957-1978. Also, it goes backwards.

The Prompts/Suggestions: I've requested the characters Charley Kringas and Joe Josephson. I'm very, very specifically asking for Joe getting Charley in the divorce lmao. Like, Gussie and him get divorced, she kind of starts taking over Frank's career, so Joe starts being Charley's producer specifically. Maybe he's the one to really push Charley to get back to writing his own stuff post-"Franklin Shepard Inc." Feel free to include any other characters you like, but Act 1 wet, pathetic Joe getting his groove back through getting Charley in the divorce is what I'm prompting here.

Sunday in the Park with George (Sondheim/Lapine)

The Fandom: Act 1: Georges Seurat paints his famous Sunday Afternoon the the Island of La Grande Jatte and goes through a break-up. Act 2: 100 years later, George, the great-grandson of Georges Seurat (maybe), gets out of his flop era via the ghost of his great-grandmother.

The Prompts/Suggestions: I've requested the characters Georges Seurat, Dot, and Louis. Basically, as the song says, "Everybody Loves Louis" - and Georges gets included in that. Can be either a true poly throuple or a V-shape with whichever of the three you want at the center. Canon divergence where Louis comes with Dot during "We Do Not Belong Together" would be appreciated.

Also, with this prompt, I'm getting real "have a child for warmth and a baker for bread and a prince for whatever" vibe from either Dot or George if you go with the V-shape.

The Department of Truth (Comics)

The Fandom: The Department of Truth is a series of comics written by James Tynion IV that's currently at 22 issues collected in 4 TPBs. It centers around Cole Turner, an FBI expert in conspiracy theories who accidentally becomes sucked into the ultra-covert Department of Truth. In this universe, reality isn't a strict dilatation of true and false - if people's belief reaches a critical mass, even the strangest conspiracy theories can become reality. The Department of Truth is charged with ensuring that this doesn't happen - though there are other forces with different agendas and ways of looking at what should be done with this reality, and the Department's missions aren't always morally clear-cut.

The Prompts/Suggestions: I've requested the characters Hawk Harrison, Dalton "Doc" Hynes, and Lee Harvey Oswald. I'm personally most interested in seeing something based in the '80s or '90s, a period seen somewhat in flashback but not the main storyline of the comic. The second and third TPB have the most relevant info if you decide to do this - the second TPB introduces Hawk Harrison and gives some info on his previous missions, while the second TPB goes into most of what we know of Lee Harvey Oswald's backstory in DoT.

I'm most interested in seeing conspiracies or cryptids that the comics haven't really touched on yet. The "Elvis isn't dead" conspiracy (especially the "Elvis was secretly an FBI asset" one), the Contras/CIA/Crack Cocaine connection (especially in regards to how it's still debated, which would be interesting in the sense that maybe the DoT wasn't able to counteract the conspiracy or inserted the conspiracy into reality for some reason), or aspects of the Satanic Panic, such as "Satanic backmasking", that haven't been seen yet are particularly interesting. On the other hand, some cryptids that I like but haven't been seen yet in canon are La Llorona, the chupacabra, and the hodag. Essentially, I'm requesting casefic here lmao.

Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person (2023)

The Fandom: Sasha is a vampire. Sasha also does not want to kill in order to eat - something that gets her in trouble with her vampire family. Then she meets Paul, who's actively suicidal. It's not really as easy a solution as it looks at first glance.

The Prompts/Suggestions: I've requested the characters of Sasha and Denise. I literally just want anything about the sisterly relationship with these two. Denise being both protective of and annoyed at Sasha, Sasha trying to convince Denise to stop her literal femme fatale routine post-canon, literally anything.

Into the Woods (Sondheim/Lapine)

The Fandom: The Baker, the Baker's Wife, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack (of Beanstalk fame) all try to get their wishes. They succeed, as fairytale characters tend to do. Then Act 2 happens and shit gets real.

The Prompts/Suggestions: I've only requested the Witch because she's my problematic fav. I'll literally take anything Witch-centric - worldbuilding for how magic works/is perceived in-universe, her relationship with her mother, her relationship with Rapunzel, her being an annoying neighbor. This is definitely my LEAST picky fandom lmao.

Assassins (Sondheim/Weidman)

The Fandom: A bunch of people try, successfully or unsuccessfully, to kill the president of the United States. That's it, that's the show.

The Prompts/Suggestions: I've requested the characters of the Balladeer and Leon Czolgosz. I am absolutely fascinated by two nearly contradictory things about Czolgosz's ballad - on one hand, it's the most sympathetic to the successful assassin and the closest to actual early folk music that we see the balladeer get, but on the other hand the Balladeer clearly ignores the actual ideology that Czolgosz had. You can be understandable or an anarchist when being sung about by the embodiment of the American Dream - you can't be both. And I want Czolgosz to actually talk to the Balladeer, get political, and radicalize that bitch into becoming Woody Guthrie.
