Dear Yuletide Writer 2022 Letter

Heyo! Long time Yuletide fan, first time Yuletide participant. Hopefully I do this letter thing right and don't completely mess this up lmao. I go by flibbertygigget on AO3 as well.

General Wants/DNWs:

• Want: angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort, strong friendships, canon divergence OR missing moments OR canon continuation
• DNW: unhappy/dark endings, rape/noncon/dubcon, too much focus on romance (I prefer platonic relationships), major AUs

Fandom Specific Notes:

Sapphire & Steel

• I really like fics that create an original assignment that includes all the time-bending, surreal madness of the show
• I love love love the relationship between Sapphire and Steel - either as platonic or romantic. If you go romantic, I'd much prefer for the romance to be weird and mind-bending and beyond human comprehension rather than a straightforward romance.
• As a theatre nerd, the idea that theatres are hotspots for time weirdness appeals to me - they're old buildings where old words are said ritualistically over and over, time's gonna break DOWN there.

Cabaret

• Most of my Cabaret brain comes from the revival, so keep that in mind if you're writing the Emcee in particular.
• I would love something where Cliff and Sally have a bittersweet reunion post-WWII. *Insert David Bowie's "Heroes" here lol*
• Emcee character development - he's so deeply interesting to me
• Bobby/Emcee or Cliff/Sally if you decide to include romance, but platonic relationships are also welcome.

Tingleverse

• Yes, I'm requesting Harriet Porber fic
• Honestly I'm mostly interested in worldbuilding - I really like the magic system Chuck set up in the Porberverse and would love to see more of it.
